QUESTION 1

Insurance that protects you if your vehicle is damaged in a non-accident situation

  • What is comprehensive physical damage?

Comprehensive insurance provides protection for your vehicle if it is damaged by something other than a collision with a vehicle or object, or if your vehicle is stolen. If you have a loan on your vehicle, or if you want to fully protect your vehicle, you should choose Physical Damage insurance.

QUESTION 2

Receiving the full cost of repairing or replacing an item

Replacement cost, or reconstruction cost, coverage insures your home for the cost to repair damage to your home or rebuild it completely at equal quality — at current prices. This does NOT cover your home at a depreciation value.

QUESTION 3

Insurance that covers physical injuries caused by a vehicle accident for which you are responsible

  • What is bodily injury liability?

Your bodily injury liability covers the costs associated with the covered injuries you may have caused to other people in that accident, and also provides for a legal defense if you’re sued.
